SCIENTIFIC CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR PERSONALIZED HEALTHCARE IS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FROM THE FIELD OF BIO-TECHNICAL SCIENCE AND BIOMEDICINE. IT IS ENVISIONED IN A WAY TO ALLOW EFFICIENT TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCE FROM BIO-TECHNICAL FIELD TO APPLIED BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH IN WHICH RESEARCH GrOUPS COMPLEMENT EACH OTHERS SPECIALTY.  

One of the examples of synergistic activity between scientific units of this scientific center of excellence is the ability to analyze glycan biomarkers in evaluation ofthe effects of using functional food in patients and healthy subjects. Since this is innovative and original approach to food, through the activities of this center we will increase international scientific and commercial competence of or region and Croatia.

• SCIENTIFIC UNIT FOR RESEARCH, PRODUCTION AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF FUNCTIONAL FOOD
  Head: prof. dr. sc. Ines Drenjančević from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Osijek.
