Project description:
In order to improve detected imperfections and improve business practices, Genos d.o.o. plans to get an ERP system that will encompass the following business processes: 9 business processes (purchase, sales, BI reports, project management, asset management, human resource management, warehouse management, risk management, and logistics).
Laboratory management will be improved through the introduction of the informational system for lab management - LIMS. An informational system for lab management (LIMS) is a computational solution that allows central governance and oversight of the laboratory. For Genos that includes central storage of the data, with automatic storing, processing, and integration of the data. Managing this data is of uttermost importance. Data about cohorts, patients, batches, and samples, data about processes, experiments, measurements, methods, instruments, analytics, need to be integrated, indexed, searchable, appropriately displayable, available for mining, editing, and removal. The system needs to be modern with a flexible user interface, compatible with all modern platforms (win, mac, android), highly configurable by the end-user, and it needs to allow entering, searching, editing, and removal of the data. The system also needs to have integrated viewers for all data types. The interface needs to be expandable with Phyton scripts.
With this project, two informational systems will be introduced, that will support all processes in the company, and that are available on the market.
AIMS AND EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
Aim:
With this project, and implementation of 2 systems, managing the business processes will be optimized, the efficiency will be improved and efficacy of work in administration and laboratory will be improved, thereby also improving the customer experience. The aim of this project is to improve competitiveness and maintain the position of the leading laboratory for high-throughput glycan analysis.
Expected results:
Results of the project are as following:
a) improved management of the business processes (9 processes in total)
b) informatization of the lab management - gathering all processes and in the lab, integrated database and centralized data tracking
